PHILATELIC DEALERS SHOW AT THE DITSONG NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MILITARY HISTORY

The annual South African Philatelic Dealers Association Show is to take place at the Ditsong National Museum of Military History on 1 and 2 May 2011. There will be nine dealers in attendance with various collections on display.  A special collector’s auction will also take place on the afternoon of 2 May.  For further information, kindly contact the SAPTA Secretary, Mr Steve Catlin, at 082 892 0459.

Entrance to the Museum is R 25,00 for adults and R 15,00 for senior citizens and scholars.  The Ditsong National Museum of Military History is located at 22 Erlswold Way, Saxonwold in Johannesburg.

SCOPEX 2011 AT THE DITSONG NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MILITARY HISTORY

The annual Telescope and Astronomy Expo, Scopex 2011, is to be held at the Ditsong National Museum of Military History on Saturday 7 May 2011 from 9am to 9pm.  The expo is presented by the Astronomy Society of South Africa.

The show will include telescopes (self-made and commercial) of all kinds, a telescope auction, an astrophotography competition, talks, science shows, a camera obscura, sundials and a star party from 6pm where you can tour the night sky through a telescope.
